India: International Widow Day in Kolkata

Widows from Varanasi and Vrindavan enjoy the tram rides from Esplanade to Khidipur.Sulabh International Social Service Organisation a wing of Sulabh Sanitation Mission foundation organized a widow day out in Kolkata on the occasion of International Widow Day. 39 widows from Vrindavan and Varanasi visited Vitoria Memorial Hall, St. Paul Cathedrals and also enjoy the tram ride from esplanade to Khidirpur from the morning. Sulabh International Social Service Organisation founder Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak also joins this day out program in Kolkata.International Widows Day is a United Nations ratified day of action to address the poverty and injustice faced by millions of widows and their dependents in many countries.
